The Warm Sunset Wedding Portraits In These Vineyard Nuptials Are Insanely Gorgeous
Francesca and Chris started off as co-workers, but it didn’t take long before they realized they were soulmates. And the warm sunset wedding portraits you’ll see towards the end of this story is the ultimate proof of their cosmic chemistry! Margaret Wroblewski documents their day in both rich color and black + white as they move through their vineyard celebration planned to a T by Two Byrds Events and Design. Surrounded by summer citrus bridesmaid dresses, rustic chic furniture and amber-colored blooms from Pharsalia, Francesca and Chris made their lifetime commitment Facebook official. And we are oh-so-excited for you to fawn over their love story with us today! Shall we?
From the Couple: It’s funny how we remember our most cherished life moments so vividly and full of color as if it happened yesterday. Francesca swore off dating co-workers. Chris thought she was out of his league. It started with an unassuming handshake and casual chit chat about our favorite NPR segments, office gossip, must-try restaurants in DC, and book recommendations and somehow our passions broke loose.

Chris, in another life, was a pro-snowboarder and biker. He loved following recipes to a tee when cooking. Francesca is a self-proclaimed yogi and avid happy hour goer. She is too proud to measure ingredients when cooking. But we both love to cook, find new hobbies and adventures, both ambitious and driven with our careers. Both feminists. He thought we might be onto something here. She thought that he was different from the rest – unique and quirky with his ways, perhaps even special.
But it wasn’t until a random (perhaps drunken text) from Chris: “American Ice?” (a bar we all frequented in DC) that spurred our relationship. Francesca, of course, did not show up to American Ice and pretended that she received this text from an unknown number, fully knowing it was indeed Chris, and with a smirk on her face, she knew it was game time. Chris made a killer Elk Lasagna. He’d offered to bring some for Francesca the next day. She casually says “sure” interested about the recipe he followed
Fast-forward to 2021 – a sweet puppy, a house, and a whole pandemic later, as well as several adventures in between. Today, she still remembers how good that Elk Lasagna was.
I mean…. GORGEOUS! These warm sunset wedding portraits truly have us floored. So it’s a good thing there are lots of them! Francesca and Chris’ vineyard wedding showcases a stunning blend of rustic chic decor, warm tone florals and a hint of bohemian glam. We hope you enjoyed reading their story as much as we did!
