Multicultural Wedding in Virginia with Magnolia Bouquets
Dipping your toes into this Virginia wedding filled to the brim with magnolia bouquets, mountain views and sweet fashion moments of ‘something blue’-s, is like falling in love for the first time. Butterflies filled my stomach as I pored over this gallery from David Abel, who masterfully captured the idyllic setting + infectiously joyous subjects within it to perfection. An all-white color palette, from the silk slip bridesmaid dresses to crème de la crème florals from Country Garden Florist, took center stage in this rustic chic celebration coordinated by With You Events. Aida and John’s Christian ceremony amidst sweeping mountain views was followed by an Indian celebration, where vibrant colors were present in spades. Honoring the traditions of her culture, the bride wore a stunning red lehenga to symbolize new beginnings, passion, and prosperity. Meanwhile, John sported an emerald sherwani which mirrored Aida’s fabulous wedding day jewelry + bangles. We feel so privileged to be sharing this multicultural wedding with you today. From the views to the symbolism to those magnolia bouquets, it’s an absolute treasure!
From the Photographer, David Abel: Aida and John planned a weekend wedding celebration at the Omni Homestead Resort in Hot Springs, Virginia as they joined two cultures together. The first ceremony was a traditional Christian ceremony at the top of the golf course overlooking the resort. This was more of an intimate ceremony with just close family. The bridal party wore white and the couple celebrated with a quiet reception overlooking the mountains. The second ceremony was rich in color and traditional Indian attire. This ceremony and reception were meant to convey a celebration with all family and friends. Guests gathered in the Crystal Ballroom to enjoy a meal, dance, and celebrate the couple.
So much love for Aida + John and their multicultural wedding rich with beauty + kismet. For more inspiration in the world of Indian weddings, be sure to check out this real LA shindig next! Two words, my friend: carnation garlands.
