I’ll be honest. We think the world of this garden flower wedding next to a glistening swan lake. From the unique stems incorporated into each arrangement by Evergreen Flower Co. to the complementary pressed flower details brought artfully to the table by Events Held Dear, we have been swooning since the moment we first laid eyes on this gallery! So prepare yourself to be mesmerized… because Nicole Clarey’s images from Lauren and Tyler’s day will have you in the best kind of trance.

From the bride: When we talk about our wedding day, we always find ourselves saying that it was the best wedding we’ve ever been to. We planned our wedding in a way that would honor our love for each other, our family and our friends. We wanted it to be a reflection of us as a couple, so a few moments were kept special between the two of us. We had a first look and read our written vows to each other in private (but had our amazing photographer and videographer capture the moment, duh). Tyler’s dad, Matt, was our officiant, which made our ceremony so very special to us. He is full of humor and Tyler and I are both pretty laid back, so when a train decided to go by the exact moment my dad and I made it down the aisle, I looked at Matt and we both said, “this is kinda nice!”. Oddly enough, it was the perfect amount of time for us to take a few deep breaths before Matt did his thing! And our guests followed our lead and had some laughs. I mean, what are the chances?! It’s a memory that made our day that much more special. It’s also hard to put in words how FUN our reception was. Tyler says that he couldn’t get me off the dance floor so if our guests wanted to see me, they had to join in 🙂

In terms of design, I hope that every bride can say she loved the look and feel of her wedding as much as I did, and it’s all thanks to our amazing vendors. Tyler and I love the “light and airy” look so that was reflected throughout our day. My bridesmaids (and bridesman) had a mix and match look of blush tones, and we will forever call our group of friends “The Blush Tones” because of it. Doesn’t it sound like a band?! I still dream about our florals and I probably always will. They were our main “source” of decoration! I knew our photographer, Nicole Clarey, would capture our day the exact way I remember it and boy did she deliver! Even down to our invitations and signage – Tyler’s groomsman, Brad, is a super talented graphic designer so we got to have fun discussions with him while he designed everything for us.

All in all, we believe in surrounding ourselves with people who embrace us as we are, and we embrace them as they are. I wanted our guests to feel that at our wedding. I wanted to create a special day for not only Tyler and I, but one where our guests could enjoy themselves and feel connected to us! There are so many moments from that day that make us smile and I hope we never forget them!

Design Inspiration from the Planner, Leda of Events Held Dear: Lauren and Tyler knew from the beginning they wanted soft colors as the baseline of their event, partnered with texture to give it some more life! Selecting a venue that had lots of bright tones and natural light was important to them, and with Swan Lake’s multiple floor to ceiling windows, it was a pretty perfect choice, for them and their film photographer.

We focused a lot of their design on the florals, letting them alone speak for themselves. The ceremony site was kept in its original state, outside in the wooded area, with Lauren and Tyler flanked by colorful floral designs on either side. The reception was much of the same – we kept the linens and tablescapes fairly simple, with a touch of texture, so that the florals could really pop in the center.”
