Couture Fall Wedding with Delicate Organic Textures

bride and groom lean in for a kiss

Bursting with dried botanicals and vintage couture gowns this fall wedding editorial is a work of art. Inspired by the Austrian artist, Gustav Klimt, Claudia Fitzinger  planned a breathtaking editorial, alongside designer, Mademoiselle Fee, of organic textures and an earthy color palette that is oh so perfect for your fall wedding. The scene unfolds in a cozy setting with a hanging floral installation over a tablescape of yellows and blacks with cascading dried florals that are perfectly unraveled. The Mezzinoi perfectly captured the magic of this intimate wedding inspiration with the prettiest high-necked gowns we’ve ever seen.

From the Art Director and Planner, Claudia Fitzinger: Last year I had a vision about the great Austrian artist Gustav Klimt in the 1900 century. I love the colors in his paintings and his style. I can see some magic and the love in his art. I took him, his life and art as inspiration for a wedding inspiration. He was a big dreamer and an introvert soul with a big heart for women. He had many muses and one special muse – Emilie, his soulmate. A interesting thing is, that he never married, but I’m sure that he was falling in love with one of his muses. So I asked myself the question, when Gustav Klimt comes alive again and has the chance to confess his true love to the one of his muses and getting married, who would that be? Emilie?

The inspiration should be implemented in Haute Couture / artisty style, which is underlined with clear and angular elements. The structures and surfaces are matt. The dress should shine. We orientate ourselves on the main colours in Gustav Klimt’s painting. The colors are reminiscent of “Amber” and “Schar” as well as of the gemstone Onyx in “Black” and in light marbled texture. Gold is not used as metal, because the ochre yellow is to be celebrated as new gold. The dark, almost brown “Burgundy” is only used as a minimal accent – hardly visible.

The mood is romantic and slightly wild. Only dried flowers are used, which are supposed to remind of the former Sein Klimt’s. We want to awaken Klimt from his Sleeping Beauty sleep. All the dried flowers whose beauty is given a new meaning. It seems as if the muses had waited for his awakening. The table is festively set, the invitations ready to be sent, the wedding arch in full dry blossom splendor. Ready for the feast of love, in memory of Klimt.

19th century haute couture dresses transferred to modernity. High-necked with long sleeves, but still feminine. Lace, frills, embroidery, feathers – everything is allowed / desired. We’re sure the High-necked dress will celebrating a comeback soon.

The color theme is also taken up here. Only dried flowers, silver leaves, branches, dried grasses and the like should be used. NO GREEN! The inspiration is to appreciate and use the beauty of nature in all its facets. We dive into an overgrown garden that is wild and romantic at the same time.
