Dutch Floral Still Life Wedding Inspiration
Today’s shoot is giving us some dramatic vibes, and we don’t mind it one.single.bit. Ed & Aileen Photography captured the scene of a beautiful ceremony and reception space adorned with a Dutch-inspired wallpaper, lavishly decorated by A Fresh Event. May Floral created floral arrangements that enhanced the moodiness, adding up to a dreamy + romantic day.
From the photographer, Ed & Aileen Photography: Bringing this eclectic vision to life, we strove to create images that reflected the mood of the entire wedding day. From the beginning of the day where everything is utterly romantic and dreamy, followed by the quiet happy moments after becoming husband and wife to the party at the end where everyone can finally let their hair down. After all, nothing says an epic celebration more than smoke bombs and a 40oz Rosé!
From the event designer, A Fresh Event: Going into this styled shoot inspired by Dutch floral paintings, I knew that I wanted to work in a unique Chicago space that reflected the city – a place full of contrast, filled with the elegant and quirky, old and new, urban and rustic. After seeing the raw, exposed brick and hardwood floors of Gallery 1028, it was obvious that this was the venue. In the design, Ellie Cashman’s Dutch-inspired wallpaper became the highlight as it was the perfect addition to create the juxtaposition a feminine vision within a more masculine environment. With three dress changes, multiple environments, smoke bombs and a 40oz Rosé, I am so ecstatic to share this.
