Philadelphia planning team Clover Event Co. played up the academic theme based on the collegiate building which acted as the reception space, and we are here for the subtle details like the chalkboard escort card display, apothecary drawer cake backdrop and cloche floral arrangements that give this Philadelphia shindig a serious creative edge! And don’t get us started on the bohemian chic bridal bouquet from We Are Wildflowers, teeming with proteas, ivy and wheat grass for starters – so much texture! Fro the planner, Clover Event Co.: Lindsey and Patrick had a perfect fall day for their wedding at Old St. Joseph’s Church and the College of Physicians. Their wedding design included a moody color palette of burnt orange, deep green and deep teal with accents of black and gold to ground the design. Papertree Studio designed a custom suite that featured a watercolor drawing of the College of Physicians, a rich black invitation, gold wax seals and nature themed stamps.

We Are Wildflowers dressed up the aisle of Old St. Joseph’s church with growing greenery and continued the growing greenery look up the marble stairs at the College of Physicians. The centerpieces included blush and ivory florals accented with maroon and deep orange blooms and textured dried elements in vintage vessels. Accent tables featured velvet linens in burnt orange and dark sienna by Nuage Designs and the tables were accented with Party Rental’s black Aster Matte Plateware and Gold Vanderbilt Flatware along with Eleanor Gold Rimmed Glassware that gave the table and formal feel with rich detail. Touches of apothecary and medical accents including medicinal jars, dried florals and herbs, scales, medical books and the pharmacy snake symbol were included the design as a nod to the College of Physicians venue and Lindsey’s own work in the healthcare field. A custom chalkboard seating chart with escort cards by Papertree Studio also captured the collegiate theme and was a symbol for Lindsey and Pat being high school sweethearts. To warm up the large space, we placed a Maggpie Rental velvet lounge in front of the large fireplace in the library for guests to enjoy after dinner. The pistachio cake by Catering By Design was placed on a vintage console table by Maggpie in front of the in house card catalog and guests enjoyed the cake along with vegan donuts from the couples favorite donut shop, Dottie’s Donuts.
