A Bright Newport Beach Wedding With a Tropical Flair
Today’s beach wedding in Newport Beach has our hearts aflutter! All the pale blue and sunny details paired with the serene beach background is almost too much for our romantic hearts to handle. Rachael Ellen Events used a brilliant combinations of tropical and romantic florals (we’re crushing especially hard on the fringed tulips), and don’t even get us started on the bride’s long sleeved dress from The Perfect Dress. Get ready to jump for joy with the sweetest bride and groom as you watch all the happy moments unfold through the eye of Mary Claire.
From the planner, Rachael Ellen Events: Zac and Jen met the night before Zac moved to Hawaii for the summer. After months of texting, talking, and FaceTime, Jen came to visit Zac in Hawaii. It was on the beach where the two of them fell in love. From that point forward, they knew that they wanted to have a destination wedding. Both the bride and groom are from Utah. They wanted to choose a location where their friends and family could easily travel to but a place that felt unique and special in the way only a destination can.
They settled on Newport Beach where they planned their romantic, beach wedding. The couple welcomed guests to Newport with a welcome beach bonfire. The next morning, the couple had a private religious ceremony followed by a dinner and reception on a yacht. The boat cruised the Newport Coast for a gorgeous, breezy, sunset lit night.
Jen fell in love with a long sleeve lace gown – one of the first few she tired on! She paired it with modern tan pumps and an heirloom veil and hairpiece. Zac’s suit was custom made by Tomasso Cardullo. He wanted a suit that was unique, blue, and felt appropriate for their yacht celebrations.
The florals for the event were a combination of tropical and romantic blooms. Drawing on the location, we used antherium and palm leaves to give the look a tropical spin. To keep things romantic, we paired the design with quicksand roses, fringe tulips, ranunculus, mint, sweet pea, and champagne roses.
The invitation and day of paper design was inspired by Jen’s bright and sunny personality. She knew she wanted things to be romantic, but that it was important that everything felt fun and vibrant like their relationship. Ink & Press Co.. included a set of bright colors on letterpress paired with a romantic floral design. It was the perfect balance of bold and feminine!
The cake was designed by Cassidy of Flour & Flourish. She perfectly mimicked the event florals with her sugar floral creations on the cake.
For the table design, we opted for a French blue linen paired with soft blue napkins. The gold flatware gave the look a modern spin and paired perfectly with their alternating blush and light blue petal chargers. Each table number was printed onto a vintage blue Latin tile – a nod to Jen’s background. The guests enjoyed Mexican food all night while they danced the night away on the top floor of the yacht.
This sweet Newport Beach wedding has our hearts soaring so if you’re thinking of a beach wedding then you will need these 5 essentials in your beach welcome bag.
