This Sunshine-Filled Wedding is Why We Love Fruit as Wedding Decor

Jiaqing And Runshen

We’ve always been huge fans of fruit as wedding decor and centerpieces. But this wedding? Takes it to a whole.new.level. You can feel the warmth and the refreshing scent of citrus fruits through these images! Lovely Time Weddings & Events brought on the California sunshine and summer mood captured by Stella Yang Photography and we’re 100% on board.

Using dried fruit as wedding decor in flatlays is such a fun way to add a pop of color in addition to flowers!

Jiaqing and Runshen tied the knot last September in the beautiful Elliston Vineyards, nestled in the hills of Sunol, California. ¬¬The historic stone mansion, the elegant garden brimming with summer flowers, vineyards embraced the ceremony and shades for the guests provided by a gorgeous hundred-year-old tree, really met all the expectations of their vision for a joyful, relaxing, warm and welcoming celebration with family and friends.

Giant orange slices were painted on this fun backdrop photo opp, showing you that fruit as wedding decor doesn’t always have to be fresh!

When meeting with the couple, Jiaqing, the bride, told us that Runshen was her a safe haven. No matter what was going on, she could always feel healed, understood, and forgiven in him. This helped us set the theme for the wedding: Your love is what I call home.

We designed many details symbolizing home, for example, home shaped wood blocks in different colors were used as escort cards, and miniature furniture set on each table as table numbers. Three large wood boards in house shape were put up in the display area. One was the theme of the wedding, one had cute pictures of the couple when they were dating, and the last one was their favorite verse about love from the Bible in Chinese, “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always preservers. Love never fails.”

We hoped with these adorable details, the couple could share the happiness of “Your love is what I call home” with the guests. These delightful details were so elegantly and romantically captured by the wonderful photographer, Stella Yang.

In order to achieve a bright and vivid look, we decided on blush pink, coral, lemon yellow, and peach as the color palette. Because of the rich beauty of the summer, the floral arrangements, designed by Pineapple Petals Studio, were breathable and natural, as if the flowers were initially there.

Floral arrangements in lush and opulence style decorated the gazebo in front of which the couple exchanged their vows. The reception was held in the bright Terrace Room, just a short walk from the garden. To keep the open and spacious feeling given by the vaulted ceiling and the floor-length windows, and minimalism inspired floral arrangements were used with seasonal flowers and fruit as wedding decor. Fresh fruits and fruit slices in theme colors were used in decoration to add a sweet and refreshing feel of the summer.

Above the sweetheart table, bamboo lanterns were hung in various heights and were decorated with greenery. These lanterns made the gorgeous scene for the love birds and lit up this romantic mid-summer night’s dream.
