Vintage Bohemian Dinner Party for Antique Week in Texas

Vintage Bohemian Dinner Party Texas 01

With some days of rest under our belts, we’re starting the week strong with a vintage bohemian dinner party that’ll dazzle your eyes from start to finish. With burgundy, wheat and antique rose hues, this open-beam space is bedecked with enough texture and pattern to make both interior designers and average joes like us smile brightly. Oh, to be a part of this community who traveled far + wide for a dinner party with exquisite taste beyond the food.

Fine art photographer, Hannah Haston, gives us a generous peek at all the warmth and beauty of the day. From the comforts of the table to the comfort food, we’re convinced we need to get to Texas.

And as long as Stylist, Carmen Collins, is there, we have a pretty good feeling we’re in for a treat. This table is nothin’ but pure art with its mismatched chairs and scattered tapers – and did you catch the layered plates with charcoal and marbled blue hues? Our eyes are dancing on cue.

This abundant floral installation by Davy Gray could bring tears to our eyes. The perfect complement to the stone vessel centerpieces below.

From the stylist, Carmen Collins: An hour east of Austin, TX, sits the small town of Round Top. With a population of about 100, the city doesn’t see much action — except for twice a year, when hundreds of interior designers, stylists, and shoppers looking to deck out their home with vintage finds make the pilgrimage to Round Top for Antique Week.

This fall, we threw a dinner party for a small group of Austin and Houston tastemakers at The Vintage Round Top, a gorgeous rental property just steps away from the city’s most coveted antique shopping stalls. I had the pleasure of planning the event and designing a dinner table that perfectly complemented the existing decor of the house.

Valerie Wolf of Davy Gray created a neutral, textured floral installation that seemed to float in mid-air above the dining table.

Guests enjoyed drinks and dinner from Gold Epicure, who served up an avocado caesar salad, grilled rosemary trout, smoked quail, roasted pork belly, fire roasted vegetables, and a lemon olive oil cake.
