When starting with a blank canvas for your wedding venue, the sky’s the limit on what you can do. With the help of their wedding planner from Brannan Events, John and Selina transformed the historic Gallery 308 of San Francisco into an modern lover’s dream with a touch of feminine in the blush and mauve color palette. I think our favorite part has to be the food trucks serving up things from fried chicken to s’mores. Now we’re just wondering how we can get an invite to this foodie’s dream because we’re officially drooling over the photos from Kristine Herman Photography.

From the photographer, Kristine Herman PhotographyAfter 12 years, high school sweethearts John and Selina were married at Gallery 308 in San Francisco overlooking the bay. The two mixed a lot of their personality to make it a wedding that represented them perfectly. Elise of Brannan Events’s helped their ideas come to life with a perfect mix of industrial yet feminine details from their unique color palette that ranged from black to pink. John calls Selina his Chipotle Queen so it was only fitting to made sure to snack on her favorite food before the wedding. After their first look, the two decided on a private reading of their vows before the ceremony. Before guests were seated, they would have to walk by the Ring Warming Station, where the guests would warm the rings with their hands.

The two are huge foodies so instead of going with the normal plated dinner, they opted for their favorite food trucks from Off the Grid. The two also had trucks come for their desserts as well including s’mores and ice cream. For the Reception, they added a “Video Game Station” Where Guests could play their favorite Nintendo game, Mario Kart. Guests were gifted acrylic pieces with their names at their table with small tassels behind them. The tassels were scattered around the day and included on the welcome sign.

From the bride and groom: When we originally came across our venue, we were not into it. And then our amazing planner Elise asked us to take a second look. At first it was hard for us to picture our wedding there, since it was a blank canvas, but we realized it checked off all of our boxes. We wanted a space that we could transform into our own, had city views, and was food truck friendly. It was also an added bonus that it was at a historic site! Now we can’t picture our wedding taking place anywhere else.

I always knew I wanted my color palette to have mauve in it. It ended up transforming into a color palette of mauve, blush and lavender. I also knew I wanted a ton of greenery throughout the space. As we got closer to the day of, it transformed into more of a moody, modern vibe with the pops of black and greys. We also knew we wanted to have something unique that not only represented us as a couple, but something you’ve also never seen at a wedding before. John had the idea to have a gaming lounge where we had a TV set up with Mario Kart on a Nintendo 64. It was a total hit! It brought together our guests that wouldn’t have mingled otherwise.
