Metropolitan Garden Wedding

A glamorous rooftop wedding followed by a ceremony in a restaurant with the chicest of industrial aesthetics — how could we not fall head over heels for this beauty sent over by Shannen Norman? Newlyweds Alex and Judy, who are both designers, wanted a fun and relaxed wedding day. They found the ideal wedding venue in Brooklyn’s MyMoon, which catered to their needs perfectly, as you can see here!

From the bride, Judy: Alex and I were never a fan of lavish and ballroom type of weddings. When we first got engaged, the first thing we agreed on was to have a casual and fun wedding. Both of us being designers, we wanted to try to do everything we can on our own so that the entire event becomes a representation of who we are.

Our wedding was in the fall so we wanted to pick a color theme that would go well with the season. Alex didn’t want everything to be too girly, so we came to an agreement to combine two colors — grey and peach. We would describe our wedding as chic, casual, vintage, and fun!

Any advice for brides planning their weddings now? I think having a clear idea of what you want always helps. We did a lot of research, collecting images of what we liked. I made an image board which helped me to stay on track.
