The creative team that gathered for The Big Fake Wedding Charlotte sought to highlight the beauty of Mother Nature through layered natural colors, foraged blooms, reclaimed wooden tables and a seasonal menu using local ingredients. The bride donned an embroidered gown with an elegant v-neck and flowy tulle skirt from Vow’d Weddings, which was complemented perfectly by the textured bouquet from PS Floral Designs in moss, amber, purple dove and dusty blue hues. We adore the way Taylor Pressley Artistry gave her a hair style with sophisticated, yet gentle waves to match the relaxed mood of the day to boot!
Coordinated by Dogwood Gatherings and Events, the immersive bridal show went off without a hitch, allowing real couples a rare opportunity to experience the work produced by their local wedding vendors firsthand. This sweet Dog of Honor was able to attend courtesy of Ivory Hound Weddings, a dog sitting service whose job we’re frankly quite jealous of 😉
With cross-back chairs and a triangular arch, this romantic scene was made even more special by the groom’s rust-colored suit from OMJ Clothing. We’ve also gotta give a shoutout to the bride’s crystal hair vine from Smith and Co. Jewel Design which glittered oh so beautifully in the Carolina sun.
To bring guests together and engage them in the fun, the BFW team brought in specialty live entertainment from live painting to a mobile bar cart to Ryan Ashley The Poet who composed live poetry based on guests’ answers to his prompts. Ah-mazing!
This hand-painted confection was a winner on all fronts from the ombre-meets-brushtroke aesthetic to the rich taste of the cake itself. We’re craving more beauts like this from Flour & Batter!
Shimmery metallic feather motifs and a floral hoop backdrop by Southern Blossom Florist made this an unforgettable Head Table for the joyous newlyweds.
