From the planner, Italy Weddings: Shannon and Matthew held a civil wedding in the presence of dear family and friends, at this amazing lakeside venue in Northern Tuscany. The advantage of a civil wedding onsite means not having to transport guests to more than one venue on the wedding day. Shannon and Matthew concentrated on time with their friends, time enjoying food, and plenty of drink and partying into the night.

This villa is located a stone’s throw from the Tuscan coast, and near enough to the historical towns of Pisa and Lucca, to make this a culturally and culinary experience to remember!

Villa Orlando offers the possibility of a complete and coherent on-site wedding day, with lovely spaces along the lake for the wedding ceremony, and a shady courtyard area, also overlooking the lake, and with the facade of the villa itself as the backdrop for a romantic and sophisticated evening meal. The scuderia (stables) are set aside for dancing and bar services, with the flow of guests out into the evening fresh air and lake view during the night.

Shannon and Matthew opted for an open horseshoe style of table set-up, with long floral garlands of local greenery and off-white flowers. The table setting gives both formality and intimacy, mixing the rural and rustic of the wooden tables and chairs, with the more formal setting of the table layout, to create a lovely balance, and a warm night of speeches and great Italian cuisine.
