From the bride, Allie: The most important thing to us at our wedding was that everyone had fun! That meant good food, flowing drinks, and of course a photobooth. We wanted it to feel personal and romantic without being too formal or stuffy – a casual atmosphere in a beautiful setting with great service.

Our goal was romantic, vintage, 1920’s, rustic elegance, modern. Our color scheme was really just blushes, creams, and golds – we didn’t have a specific color scheme in mind. The bridesmaids were asked to pick their own dresses, with a few Pantone chips as color guidance. It worked out beautifully, with everyone selecting a dress that they loved and felt most comfortable in – and they happened to photograph great together!

Any advice for couples planning their weddings now? These are a few ways I kept my sanity: 1. Budget – there are so many great online tools today that can help you determine what you can spend on each part of your wedding, so once you have everything allocated, it makes it much easier to focus (and not worry). 2. Be flexible – I thought I would get married in the fall, but the venue I fell in love with was only available in the summer – so I went with it! 3. Once you find the right vendor, stop looking and just hire them! I did a lot of research before speaking to vendors so I knew going into the conversation what their aesthetic was – then all I had to do when we spoke was confirm that we got along. 4. Delegate – there were things my husband let me have full reign on (flowers) and things I had him handle (hiring the band). Then there were things that my family helped with (welcome bags). I was lucky to have so many people in my life eager to help – so I took full advantage! Above all, a wedding is a beautiful start to married life and it is one of the most special days in your life – having friends and family all come together just to celebrate you as a couple is a wonderful thing.
