We could hardly take our eyes off Autumn and Keith’s stylish wedding tent reception, replete with blush draping, lush floral garlands and hoop chandeliers adorned spilling with greenery. From the wedding planner + designer, Events Held Dear: Autumn and Keith’s wedding day occurred right where it was most important to them: at home. With the groom, Keith, being from a small town and extremely close to many of his family and friends from there, it was important to both him and Autumn to invite only their closest family and friends, making their day a more intimate affair.
The bride’s parents own a gorgeous estate in Delaware, Ohio, and they decided it was the perfect place to hold their reception of 100 guests. Apart from the church ceremony in downtown Delaware, every aspect of their wedding day had many moving parts, but many intricate details as well that were important to them.
Guests arrived for cocktail hour and were escorted to the main drive via trolley, where the groom’s favorite aspect of the day was located: the mobile beer bar. Since the bride and groom met at Beerfest years prior, it only seemed fitting that specialty beers were a forefront to their day. During cocktail hour, the bride and groom had their Reception Reveal along with a private First Dance, with a guitar solo by one of the band members. As the song started to wind down, their 1 year old daughter Penelope joined them for the dance. Autumn was then able to go and change from her Hayley Paige gown into a sparking, form-fitting show stopper for their second “First Look”.
Once the flower-adorned gate was opened, guests took path through the circular garden to the clear-top tent, where they walked through a grand entrance of blush draping and cascading florals. Once entering the tent, it was hard to miss the stunning 6-tiered cake covered in sugar flowers, which acted as a statement piece as soon as family and friends walked in.
Now that’s a stylish wedding tent entrance if we ever saw one!
Their guests enjoyed the night at tables covered in velvet linen, colorful florals and lush greens, both on the tables and hanging from chandeliers overhead. They were then able to enjoy the live band under the night sky, as the clear top allowed the stars to be seen – an important detail the bride wanted since our (planner’s) very first consultation!
The evening ended with two late night snacks: a food truck and the couple’s favorite, Graeter’s ice cream. The last surprise of the night was courtesy of the bride’s mother: as guests enjoyed their food, a three minute fireworks display went off over the property, surprising both the guests and the bride and groom themselves!
