The Ultimate River Wedding with Spring Blooms

Spring is a season of blooms, it’s true! And no greater way to showcase the beauty of this season than in a river wedding dressed to the nines! Kristen and Mac celebrated their nuptials in an extravagant backyard ceremony teeming with open garden flowers, white cross-back chairs and delicate bud vase aisle markers we can’t get enough of. Their reception was equally mesmerizing with lush garlands beneath a towering Sperry tent, unique wedding lights, and a hand-illustrated bar. Did we mention there’s a plush velvet lounge to admire too? So much to love about K+M’s Virginia wedding with color for days – ready to fawn over it all with us?

Kristen + Mac had a GORGEOUS rehearsal dinner + wedding!! It was filled with color and romance and music and river views and what felt like an explosion of flowers. It had everything. And at the very center of it was two people who are insanely in love. You can tell they adore each other just by the way they look at each other. But on top of that, Kristen + Mac are two of the most generous and kind-hearted people you will ever meet. Their wedding took place at Mac’s family’s river house overlooking the water in Gloucester, Virginia. The ceremony site overlooked the water and was filled with gorgeous brightly colored florals.

They had two Sperry tents set up for the reception. The larger one housed the dance floor and the guest’s dinner tables. The smaller tent was the whiskey + cigar lounge! They had every kind of whiskey you could imagine complimented by an array of fine cigars and cozy couches to sink into and watch the sunset over the water. As you can imagine, the men at this wedding were in heaven! The reception tent was STUNNING and housed some of the most beautiful floral arrangements. Everything was so perfectly styled and every detail was thought of. Perfect 10 Band rocked the reception with non-stop music. When they play, it’s like a private concert with amazing vocals, dance moves, and a light show. All of the guests were having the time of their lives. Eventually, all great things must come to an end – so Kristen + Mac ended the night on a high note with a sparkler send-off before taking off in a 1960’s Mustang!
