Santa Barbara Courthouse Wedding
We love courthouse weddings for many reasons, but one of the most prominent is how much flexibility they afford couples on their wedding day. For example, bride Natalie was able to pull of a knee-length baby blue wedding dress with a birdcage veil, and she couldn’t look any more adorable. Lavender & Twine captured all of the ceremony and the reception at Santa Barbara’s chic Wine Cask restaurant!
From the bride, Natalie: We really wanted an intimate, casual and fun feel for our wedding. The dress really helped to set the feel for the wedding as it was such a modern, and whimsical and unique dress that I had made. We are also big fans of California and Santa Barbara in particular and after we picked the Santa Barbara Courthouse as our wedding venue the succulent theme naturally followed. I made all the succulent wine corks, the straw flags and the succulents vases and my bouquet!
Any advice for couples planning their weddings now? It’s all about Etsy!!! Keep it simple. The more over produced a wedding is the more pressure people feel. Leave some room for organic moments to happen.

Wedding Music:
We had a very untraditional wedding so no official first dance or processional. The first dance happened organically and we now have “our song”.
